Tinta is free to read with, in every language it offers, on the web and on the Mac. Pro is for readers who want Tinta's own AI and their library on every device.
Free
$0, for as long as you use it.
- Every language: Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, English, German and Arabic, each with its dictionary.
- Paste or open any text. Every word is coloured by how common it is and whether you know it, with its meaning in your own language a click away.
- Mark words known or learning, see your progress, and export word lists for Anki or a spreadsheet.
- Read aloud with the voices on your device.
- AI sentence translation with your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google.
- Back up everything to a file, and bring it back in any browser or the Mac app.
Reading needs no account.
Pro
$5.99 a month, or $47.99 a year. In Indonesia, Rp 35.000 a month or Rp 249.000 a year.
Everything in Free, and:
- Sync. Your texts, words and progress on every device you sign in on.
- Tinta's AI, with no key to set up. Sentence translations and graded stories written at your level, with a monthly allowance shown in the app.
Pro is not on sale yet. It will be bought from this page, and from Settings in the app.
Paying
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our reseller and merchant of record. They process your card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, charge any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and send your receipts. Prices are shown in your local currency where Dodo supports it.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and Pro then stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Any payment can be refunded in full within 14 days; see the refund policy at https://tintareader.com/refunds.html.
